Prepare the Beef
- In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into loose balls.
Cook the Burgers
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef balls to the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Tacos
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave. Place a burger patty on each tortilla.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, and cilantro.
Serve
- Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your smash burger tacos!
