Ingredients
  

For the Smash Burgers
  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20) Formed into balls
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper To taste
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese Optional
For the Tacos
  • 8 small Corn tortillas Warmed
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream For topping
  • 1/4 cup Sliced jalapeños Optional
  • 1/4 cup Chopped cilantro For garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Smash Burgers
  1. Preheat the griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal balls.
  3. Place the balls on the griddle and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 3 minutes.
  5. Flip the patties, add cheese if desired, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Warm the corn tortillas on the griddle for about 30 seconds on each side.
  2. Place a smash burger patty on each tortilla.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, and cilantro.
  4. Fold the tortillas and serve immediately.
