Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings
  • 2 pounds chicken wings fresh or thawed
Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple juice fresh or canned
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Wings
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt and black pepper.
  3. Arrange the wings on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves, then let it simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
Bake the Wings
  1. Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings generously with the pineapple cowboy candy sauce.
Serve
  1. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve with extra sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes
