Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings
  • 2 pounds chicken wings fresh or thawed
Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños fresh or pickled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Wings
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Season the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Make the Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, sliced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
Bake the Wings
  1. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
  2. During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings generously with the pineapple cowboy candy sauce.
Serve
  1. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  2. Serve hot, drizzled with additional sauce if desired.

Notes
