Baking Instructions
- Unwrap 24 peanut butter cups and place them in the freezer.
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, sea salt, baking powder, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a standing mixer, cream together softened butter and peanut butter until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar and light brown sugar, and beat until light and fluffy (about 60 seconds).
- Add whole milk, egg, and vanilla, and beat for 60 seconds until light in color.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until combined.
- Transfer the dough to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Measure 1 ½ tablespoons of dough, roll into a ball, and repeat until the dough is used.
- Roll the balls of dough in granulated sugar until evenly coated.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet with at least 1 ½ inches between them.
- Bake for 8-9 minutes until the cookies are set and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and immediately press one frozen peanut butter cup in the center of each cookie.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
