Ingredients
  

Hibiscus Tea Base
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers Ensure they are food grade
  • 4 cups water Filtered water is preferred
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice About 4-6 limes
Optional Garnishes
  • 4 slices lime For garnish
  • 4 sprigs mint For garnish

Method
 

Prepare Hibiscus Tea
  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and reduce heat to a simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the flowers.
  4. Stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm until dissolved.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in the fresh lime juice.
Serve
  1. Pour the hibiscus tea into serving glasses over ice.
  2. Garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs if desired.
  3. Enjoy your refreshing hibiscus tea drink!
