Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 medium Potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Frozen Mixed Vegetables optional
Sauce and Toppings
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese for topping
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Assembly
  1. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  2. Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes.
  3. If using, add a layer of frozen mixed vegetables.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and beef mixture.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Finishing Touch
  1. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
