  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, and honey.
  2. Add ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Whisk until all ingredients are well combined.
Marinate the Protein
  1. Place your choice of protein (chicken, beef, or vegetables) in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
  2. Pour the marinade over the protein, ensuring it is well coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for best results.

Notes
