Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups pasta elbow macaroni or similar
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is cooked through.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked pasta, beef broth, and diced tomatoes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
