  • 1 loaf crusty loaf, preferably sourdough or Vienna
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 100 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves large garlic, minced
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the loaf in a grid pattern, taking care not to cut all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and chopped parsley.
  4. Spread the butter mixture generously between the loaf slices.
  5. Stuff the shredded cheese into the slices of the loaf.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
