  • 1 cup water for sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch for sauce
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter for sauce

Method
 

Casserole Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer the bread in a casserole dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, eggs, milk, and maple syrup or honey until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the bread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle fresh or frozen blueberries on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven until set, about 55 minutes.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, cornstarch, and the blueberries for the sauce.
  2. Cook until thickened, then stir in butter until melted.
