Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Once the mixture is chilled, pour it into the Cuisinart ice cream maker.
  2. Churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until the ice cream thickens, about 20-25 minutes.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
