Boiling the Corn
- Fill a large pot with 4 quarts of water and bring it to a boil.
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water, if desired.
- Carefully add the husked corn to the boiling water.
- Boil the corn for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender.
- Use tongs to remove the corn from the pot and place it in a colander to drain.
- Serve hot with butter and seasonings of your choice.
