BLT Sandwich

A classic BLT sandwich made with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomatoes, served on toasted bread.

Ingredients
  

Sandwich Components
  • 8 slices Bacon Thick cut preferred
  • 4 slices Bread Your choice of white, whole grain, or sourdough
  • 1 cup Lettuce Romaine or iceberg, washed and dried
  • 2 medium Tomatoes Sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise Optional, adjust to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  2. While the bacon cooks, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. Wash and dry the lettuce, then slice the tomatoes.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  2. Layer the lettuce, bacon, and tomato slices on two of the bread slices.
  3. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  4. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
