Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients and generously coat the ribs on both sides.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs on the grill bone side down and cover. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes.
  2. Check for doneness; ribs should be tender and pull away from the bone easily.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice between the bones and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight before grilling.
